The Open Bible Pulpit: Hosea - 8 - Refusing the Good
Pastor Chuck Jones E-mail Chuck Church of the Open Bible Pomona, California In this series by Pastor Chuck, we're examining the prophecy from the book of Hosea (753 - 722 B.C). Though most of the prophecy was written regarding Israel's future, it's also relevant for our learning today. In this message, we look at God's goodness. What is it? Why would anyone reject goodness in any form? Today's study examines four ways we reject God's goodness and five ways Israel rejected God's goodness. Hosea 8; Psalms 108:3; 127:1; Proverbs 3:5,6; Titus 1:16 Focus on the Kingdom: Program 21
Professor Anthony Buzzard E-mail Anthony A broadcast ministry of Restoration Fellowship Focus on the Kingdom is dedicated to spreading the Gospel of the Kingdom throughout the world. David: Friendship - Part Two
Pastor Wally Winner E-mail Wally Joy Fellowship 492 Bessie Road, Piedmont, SC Friendship is God's idea and God's desire for our lives. We need dear Christian brothers and sisters in our lives that we can turn to. As we continue our look at the friendship of David and Jonathan in today's message, we are reminded of several more keys to real friendship. 1 Samuel 20; Acts 2:46; John 15:13 Imitation is more than Flattery
Pastor Michael Hoffman E-mail Michael Oregon Church of God Oregon, Illinois Jesus was a great storyteller. He used his stories to teach important lessons, and today we examine what might be his most famous parable of all, the story of the "Good Samaritan." Though it was actually in reply to an expert in law, we find life-changing principles for our lives in the Samaritan's example. Will we have compassion like him? Will we "go and do likewise?" Pastor Terry Ferrell E-mail Terry Greenville Church of God 217 White Oak Road, Greenville, SC 29605 How can we know God? What is the source? Pastor Dave Hixon E-mail Dave Brush Creek Church of God Tipp City, Ohio In today's study, we're examining the first recorded parable in the ministry of Jesus, known as "The Parable of the Sower" or the "The Parable of the Soils." This is one of the few parables that Jesus fully interprets its meaning. And it's a message we all need to know. What about you? Have you received His message in your life? What will you do with it? How will you grow it? |

The Open Bible Pulpit: Hosea - 7 - Parables of Hosea 7
Pastor Chuck Jones E-mail Chuck Church of the Open Bible Pomona, California In this series by Pastor Chuck, we're examining the prophecy from the book of Hosea (753 - 722 B.C). Though most of the prophecy was written regarding Israel's future, it's also relevant for our learning today. Today's message examines four of the illustrations God uses in chapter 7 to describe His people - an oven, a cake, a dove, and a bow. Through these parables, we're reminded to wake up and pay attention, being concerned with God's priorities and not our own. Pastor Mark DeYoung E-mail Mark Blanchard Church of God Blanchard, MI Israel was divided. Years of war and idolatry had split the nation. They were tired and torn. But they weren't alone. If they would turn to God with full devotion, then the Lord promised to restore them to their land. As we consider their decision, we must consider ours. Our church may be tired, torn, and divided too, but God hasn't left us. He wants us to turn to Him with everything we have. Will you? Joel 2 |

Real Fruit: Cultivating a Crop
Pastor Steve Taylor E-mail Steve Lakeshore Bible Church Tempe, AZ Subscribe to Pastor Steve's Devotions Tune in to Lakeshore's service broadcast every Sunday There are many factors that affect the productivity of fruit trees. And like a tree, God expects us to produce fruit. He has given us His dynamic power and expects us to produce the greatest crop. In today's message, we examine what the ideal conditions are for the spirit's fullest work and greatest growth in our lives. Gal. 5; Eph. 4:30; 1 Thess. 5:19; Rom. 8:9; Acts 2:38; Ezek. 36:26,27; John 15:4,5; Hosea 10:12; 1 Cor. 3:6 The Stones Will Cry Out
Pastor Bruce Reye E-mail Bruce Chapel Hill Church of God Urbana, Ohio When Jesus made his triumphant entry into Jerusalem, it was a festive day filled with celebration and rejoicing. The excitement was growing as the people rejoiced and shouted for their Messiah. The Pharisees, however, wanted it all to stop, but Jesus replied that the stones will cry out if the people didn't. But there's also another day coming when "the stones will cry out." It's the day when the curse of death will be ended at Christ's next triumphant coming. Are you celebrating and anticipating that glorious day when the (tomb)stones will cry out? Luke 19:29-35; Gen. 49:10,11; John 20:17; 1 Cor. 15; Matt. 24; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; Rev. 21,22 |

Tabernacle Types
Pastor Terry Ferrell E-mail Terry Greenville Church of God, 217 White Oak Road, Greenville, SC 29605 The pattern of the tabernacle was given to Moses directly from God, and a large part of the book of Exodus is devoted to the instructions on its construction. In today's study, we also find how the types of the tabernacle used in the New Testament serve as a pattern and lesson for our Christian service. Heb. 9:1-12,51; 10:22; Lev. 1:1; Rom. 12:1; Psa. 51; 141:2; Exodus 25; Titus 3:5; Eph. 5; 2:15; Rev. 1:5,12,13,20; 5:8; 8:3,4; Jer. 3:16-18; Matt. 5; John 8:12; Deut. 8:3 Are the Wages of Sin a Life Sentence or a Death Sentence?
Pastor Hollis Partlowe The destiny of the wicked is a "burning" question. Is man subject to eternal torment or eternal destruction? What is the clear testimony of scripture? Is eternal life conditional or inherent? Find out in today's thorough examination of Bible texts on the topic. |

The Open Bible Pulpit: Hosea - 6-Return to the Lord
Pastor Chuck Jones E-mail Chuck Church of the Open Bible Pomona, California In this series by Pastor Chuck, we're examining the prophecy from the book of Hosea (753 - 722 B.C). Though most of the prophecy was written regarding Israel's future, it's also relevant for our learning today. In today's message, we're encouraged not to get too comfortable. Sometimes normal and comfortable is not always what God wants. It's time to make returning to God a lifelong pursuit. Hosea 6; Psalm 77; 1 Corinthians 15 Focus on the Kingdom: Program 19

That Great Resurrection Hope
Pastor Z.B. Duncan 1973 From the very beginning, God has promised life beyond this world today. The resurrection is a ray of hope for mankind. But it cost the life of God's only son to bring us the redemption we needed. But through his death, we are promised life. Jesus was dead, but he's alive again! And through his resurrection, we see the world's only hope. What Would I Have Done?
Pastor E. Richard Smith Jesus called many different personalities to be his disciples during his ministry, but perhaps none is known better than Simon Peter. Peter was always at the forefront. He was impulsive and impetuous. He was quick to speak and didn't always listen. He was really characteristic of all of us. And in Jesus' darkest hour, Peter denied even knowing Christ. But would any of us have been any different? It's easy to think we would have acted differently, but what would we really have done? More importantly, what will you do now? Matt. 14; 16:15-22; 18:22; 26:33,34,69-75; 19:27-30; John 6:66; Mark 16; John 21:3 |

The Victorious Entry
Pastor John Railton Family Bible Church of God Granger, Indiana For one day, Jesus received the acclaim he deserved. They held a great parade for him in Jerusalem as he rode in. It was a time of great jubilation, but it was bittersweet. Jesus saw the big picture. He knew soon that he would be rejected by the same people who were cheering that day. In today's message, we examine the events and the prophecies regarding Christ's triumphant entry as we wait for his next victorious entry back to this earth. Gen. 12:1-3; 2 Sam. 7:11-16; Psa. 72; 118:22; Isa. 62:11,12; Zech. 9:9,10; Matt. 21; Mark 11; Luke 19:28-44; John 12:12 What was left in the Tomb...
Pastor Wally Winner E-mail Wally Joy Fellowship 492 Bessie Road, Piedmont, SC What was left in the tomb? No body. Nobody!...but grave clothes, a napkin, 75 lbs. of spices, and a sermon. The message of the resurrection: You can't keep a good man down! Romans 4:24,25; 10:9; 6:8-12; John 20:19,21; 1 Cor. 11:26-31; Ephesians 1:19,20; 2:4-6 |

Triumph through Suffering
Pastor Steve Taylor E-mail Steve Lakeshore Bible Church Tempe, AZ Subscribe to Pastor Steve's Devotions Tune in to Lakeshore's service broadcast every Sunday Why is their pain and suffering in life? It's a question that often challenges our faith. But sometimes suffering is a part of God's triumphant plan. In today's text from Isaiah, we see the detailed picture of God's suffering servant as we examine how God's ultimate purpose for His people was accomplished through the suffering of His only son. Isaiah 53; John 12:32; 1 Cor. 1:23,24; Matt. 27:12-14; Mark 15:27; 14:43; Acts 8:34,35; Php. 2 Hope Road
Pastor Bruce Reye E-mail Bruce Chapel Hill Church of God Urbana, Ohio Everyone loves a parade. In many ways, the ride into Jerusalem by Jesus probably looked and seemed like a parade. The people were jubilant. Their king was riding in. But soon, the people would reject their Christ. Even his own disciples and his closest companions would leave him. But Jesus knew what he had to accomplish. He knew his ride in would soon cost him his life. But he also knew his ride in would bring the world hope. |

Because He Died
Pastor Terry Ferrell E-mail Terry Greenville Church of God, 217 White Oak Road, Greenville, SC 29605 On Resurrection Sunday, we usually emphasize the blessings that come to us because Jesus lives, but today, we look at the blessings that came because he died. By one man, Adam, all of mankind was sold into sin and bondage, and death came by sin. We all deserved to die. But Jesus chose to die to purchase our freedom with his blood, and through our Messiah, we will live eternally when he comes again. 1 Corinthians 1:18-24 Easter Verbs
Pastor Hollis Partlowe The best news that was ever heard came out of a graveyard near Jerusalem. Jesus walked out of his grave. He's really alive! God's brightest promise came in the world's darkest hour. The first to find out ran to tell the good news! And we get to be a part of the same promise and share the same news to our world. Are you ready to act? Matt. 28:2,5-8,17-20; Rom. 10:9,10; Psa. 14:1; 1 Pet. 1:3; Luke 14:14; John 11; 1 Cor. 6:14; 15:20-24; 51-58; Php. 3:20; Luke 24:33,36,39 |

The Voice of Tomorrow: Our Passover Lamb
Pastor Dale Swartz E-mail Dale Litchfield Church of God Litchfield, Minnesota Kingdom Ministries, Inc. is a completely faith-based ministry created to simply and clearly proclaim the message of the Kingdom of God and to share God's love in a practical way. In today's message, we examine the Triumphal Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. As he entered, he was praised as King. But he didn't come to overthrow the Roman government and save the people, and by the end of the week, Jesus would be rejected. Through his sacrifice, though, he would save the people from their sins. He was the Lamb of God. Have you accepted his blood to pay the penalty for you? Matthew 21; 16:21,22; Exodus 12:1-14; Isaiah 11; 53; John 1:29 Gethsemane: Reading of the Wills
Pastor Michael Hoffman E-mail Michael Oregon Church of God Oregon, Illinois Where there's a will, there's a way. That's a famous old saying, but in today's message, it's even more meaningful. As Jesus saw his death fast approaching, he was greatly distressed. He cried to his Father, but he surrendered his will to the Father. He didn't take the easy way out. He didn't give in. In his words, "not my will, but Yours be done," he gave his disciples an example to live by. Those same words still apply to us today. Have you surrendered your life to the Father? Maybe it's finally time to make that choice. Will you? Mark 14:32-42; John 18:2; 2 Peter 3:9; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 7:15; 2 Timothy 3:1; 1 John 5:3; Matthew 11:28-30; Psalm 66:8 |
